The Illyria Outdoor Theatre group will perform Wind in the Willows at the Margaret Haes Riding Centre on Saturday, May 31.
The show will feature the characters Ratty, Mr Badger, Mr Toad, and Moley.
The performance will start at 5pm, but the gates will open at 4pm for a chance to meet a pony and for those who want to enjoy a picnic beforehand.
The event is a charity fundraiser for the riding centre, which provides horse riding for people with disabilities.
Debra Batchelor, a trustee at Margaret Haes, said: “We’re excited to be welcoming Illyria back to perform Kenneth Grahame’s classic tale of fun and friendship, which is suitable for all ages.
“These fabulous productions help to raise invaluable funds for the centre, which provides horse riding for those with a disability.
“There’s always a great, relaxed atmosphere, with many people bringing picnics and enjoying the open-air performances.”
She added: “Fingers crossed we’ll get some warm spring sunshine, but, in the event of bad weather, we can use the indoor arena, so a fun time for all the family is guaranteed.”
The performance will last approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes, including a 20-minute interval.
Theatre-goers are encouraged to bring their own seating or rugs and dress appropriately for the weather.
Well-behaved dogs on leads are also welcome.
There will be refreshments available, including hot dogs and hot and cold drinks, but attendees are welcome to bring their own food and drink.
Finger puppets of the four main characters, made by one of the centre’s young supporters, will also be on sale to raise funds.
The centre is also running a raffle with prizes including a race day for two at York, four tickets for the East Lancashire Railway, a hack for two, and a signed Manchester United picture.
Foodie prizes up for grabs include a voucher from Greenmount Bistro, one from Tottington Butchers, and a basket of goodies from Ramsbottom Sweetshop.
There will also be a separate chocolate tombola.
Tickets for the event are priced from £10 and are available to order at mhrc.co.uk.
